Alignment and level report: what the LOE requires
Clotoides prepares the alignment and level report (informe de alineaciones y rasantes) that the authorities require before building works begin.
The Spanish Building Act (Ley de Ordenación de la Edificación, LOE) mentions the alignment and level report (informe de alineaciones y rasantes) as one of the technical documents that must be prepared before construction of a building begins.
Who prepares the alignment and level report
Land surveyors are professionals highly trained in the use of advanced measuring technology and in interpreting geospatial data. That is why they are the technicians best prepared to produce the topographic plans needed to prepare the alignment and level report. This document is fundamental for carrying out both public and private works.
What the report must include
According to the LOE, this document is the responsibility of the competent technicians and must include the definition of the alignments and levels of the public roads affected by the works, together with their relationship to the boundaries of the plot on which the building will be constructed.
What the report is for
The purpose of this report is to ensure that the construction conforms to the alignments and levels laid down in the urban planning, and that the construction does not affect road safety or pedestrian traffic.
