Who you deal with

Vicent Doménech, responsible for your job

I am a geodesy and cartography engineer, chartered surveyor (colegiado) no. 8948 and an AESA-certified drone pilot (A1-A2-A3). Clotoides is my surveying practice, with offices in Xàtiva and Xàbia, and I am responsible for every job from the first conversation to the explanation of the results.

Before measuring, understanding what you need

Before measuring anything, I want to understand what you need to resolve: buying a plot, preparing a project, clearing up a difference in area or putting a property's paperwork in order.

I review the information available, explain what is worth checking and prepare a proposal with the scope and the timescales. I work from Xàtiva and Xàbia, dealing with you directly and preparing documentation suited to the people who are going to use it.

I deliver in the format you are going to use (DWG, GML, SHP, PDF, LAS) and tell you in writing what each document proves and what it does not. If an IVGA is not going to update your property, or a GML file does not replace a boundary demarcation, you will know before we start. And what I measure stays here: I do not show clients' properties.

The clothoid is the perfect transition curve in engineering. That is how we work.

The name comes from the clothoid, the transition curve used in road and rail design: the one that joins a straight and a curve without a jolt.

How a job works, step by step

Five steps, always with the same person. The timescale for each job is set in the proposal, and we tell you which part depends on the Cadastre, the notary or the Land Registry.

  1. 01

    First conversation

You tell me what you want to do with the property or the project and what paperwork you have: cadastral reference, title deed, plans.

  2. 02

    Proposal

I review that information and explain what is worth checking. The proposal sets out the scope, the quote and the delivery date.

  3. 03

    Site visit

Measurement on the property or on site with the method the case calls for: GNSS RTK, total station, drone or a combination.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Plans and documents in the format that you, your architect, your lawyer or the notary need, with the accuracy stated.

  5. 05

    Explanation

We go through the results together: what the survey shows, what each document proves and what the next step is.

03

Four principles

  1. 01

    The case before the instrument

First we understand the decision behind the job. Then we decide how to measure.

  2. 02

    Stated accuracy

Every delivery states the method we used, the reference system and the accuracy, checked against independent points.

  3. 03

    Documents that work

What the authority asks for, no more and no less, and explained: including what that document cannot do for you.

  4. 04

    Timescales explained

We tell you how long our part takes and how much depends on the Cadastre, the notary's office or the Land Registry. They are different timescales and it is best not to mix them up.

Tell us about your case

We review the paperwork and tell you what is needed.

Cadastral reference, what you want to do and by when. We look at the case and reply with a proposal and a quote.
